Slash Guard 2
Slash Guard 2 puncture protection features a lightweight nylon insert that provides bead-to-bead coverage and ensures the entire tyre surface is protected. The nylon fibers have a flat profile, reducing the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between the fibers and reducing weight. WTB’s gravel tyres equipped with SG2 puncture protection also feature a 120 tpi casing to minimise the weight and overall thickness of the tyre on the one hand, and to increase its flexibility on the other. Slash Guard 2 was developed specifically as a puncture protection material, but also ensures reliable air trapping.
