The Stumpjumper EVO Comp 29″ mountain bike from Specialized is an uncompromising trail bike made from high-modulus carbon and equipped with a SRAM GX Eagle 1×12-speed groupset, Fox Float X Performance shock and Float 36 Rhythm 160 mm fork and Code RS brakes. Its geometry can be finely-tuned even more than that of the ” normal” Stumpjumper. Thanks to the adjustability of the dropouts via Horst Link Flip Chips and the exchangeable headset shells, you can adapt the bike with high precision to suit your preferences and riding style. 150 mm of rear suspension travel is available uphill and downhill without bobbing or losing speed. A flat head tube angle, a rather steep seat tube angle and small fork offset ensure excellent handling even in difficult terrain. Using Rider-First Engineered™ technology, the riding characteristics were specifically adjusted to each frame size. The SWAT™ opening in the down tube of this Stumpjumper EVO is even roomier than before, leaving space for a 650 ml water bladder.

FACT is an acronym for ” Functional Advanced Composite Technology” and summarises all the know-how that Specialized has in the use of carbon fibre. It is a holistic approach, which primarily concerns the bike frames, but is found in many components such as handlebars, stems, saddles etc. The starting point is always the awareness for the needs of riders and the capability to fulfil them. Next, the selection of fibres, resins and fabric layers takes place; in this process the quality of the carbon and the arrangement of the fibre layers play an important role. Stumpjumper EVO Trail Geometry
Stumpjumper EVO bikes from Specialized can be set up in six different ways so that the geometry fits your riding preferences. Three headset shells (Steep, Middle, Slack) allow the steering angle to be varied by 2 degrees, and Horst-Link flip chips allow the bottom bracket to be raised by 7 mm. A damper link is also optionally available, which allows you to set it up as a mullet – with 29″ front wheel and 27.5″ rear wheel.
