The Stumpjumper Comp 29″ by Specialized – A high-performance aluminium mountain bike with EVO geometry
The Specialized Stumpjumper EVO Comp Alloy is an uncompromising trail bike with a robust aluminium frame, equipped with SRAM NX Eagle gears, Code R brakes, a Fox Float 36 Rhythm suspension fork and a Float X Performance rear shock. It doesn’t have to hide behind its famous carbon sibling: thanks to modern manufacturing processes, it has the same sophisticated linkage design, the same progressive geometry with numerous adjustment options and even a SWAT™ box in the down tube. 150 mm of rear suspension travel is available uphill and downhill without bobbing or losing speed. A flat steering angle, a rather steep seat angle and little fork offset provide excellent handling and help you conquer even the most difficult terrain. Using Rider-First Engineered™ technology, the riding characteristics were specifically adjusted to each frame size. In addition, you can adapt the bike very precisely to your preferences and riding style via Horst-Link Flip Chips in the dropouts and via exchangeable headset cups. The opening in the down tube was designed with the stiffness properties of aluminium in mind and offers you almost as much storage space as the carbon models. Compared to the carbon chassis, the Stumpjumper EVO Alloy frame weighs only about 900 grams more.

Stumpjumper EVO bikes from Specialized can be set up in six different ways so that the geometry fits your riding preferences. Three headset shells (Steep, Middle, Slack) allow the steering angle to be varied by 2 degrees, and Horst-Link flip chips allow the bottom bracket to be raised by 7 mm. A damper link is also optionally available, which allows you to set it up as a mullet – with 29″ front wheel and 27.5″ rear wheel. Another important feature of the Stumpjumper EVO is the S-sizing – a frame size classification that takes into account not only your inner leg length, but also your technical riding ability. Here Specialized employs Sidearm Design, an asymmetric shock mount that contributes to the stiffness and agility of the bike without increasing its weight.
FSR
The Specialized FSR linkage design is based on a four-joint design with Horst Link in the chainstay, which separates the seat stay from the main pivot point of the rear triangle. This allows the pedal and brake force to be decoupled from the suspension, so th
