The Shimano ZEE FH-M645 is a rear hub that can be used on bikes with a 12 x 150 mm thru-axle – an over locknut dimension that is quite common in downhill riding. With its robust steel axle, low-maintenance cup-and-cone bearings, high-quality seals and quick freehub made of steel, it is a very good choice for newcomers to gravity cycling. The hub body is made of anodised aluminium. Thanks to Shimano E-Thru technology, the ratio of strength to weight is right and maximum torsional stiffness is a given.

E-Thru is a tool-free thru-axle system from Shimano that optimises the stiffness-to-weight ratio and ensures easy handling via its reliable internal cam mechanism. It is characterised by a high torsion resistance and thus also supports cornering at high speed. E-Thru thru-axle hubs and thru-axles are available in the corresponding over locknut dimensions for front and rear.
