The Shimano dip tank is used for the maintenance of 3, 5, 7 and 8-speed internally geared hubs which must be immersed for the oil change. It’s made of plastic. Oil is not supplied, but the tank is also available in combination with a 1 litre oil canister as a service set for internally geared hubs.
