Schwalbe Marathon Performance 27″ Wired Tyre

The forefather of all touring tyres: the Schwalbe Marathon Wired Tyre
The Schwalbe Marathon is the forefather of all high-quality Touring tyres and the undisputed original. The puncture protection belt of the Schwalbe Marathon wired tyre has been optimised and the GreenGuard has been developed for a safe ride. This 3 mm-thick layer of highly elastic natural rubber is made of one third recycled material, so that the soul of the Schwalbe Marathon is also green.
The sidewall of the Schwalbe Marathon wired tyre is specially designed to withstand the stresses of lower air pressure and effectively prevents ugly aging cracks (anti-aging). In addition, the Endurance Compound noticeably increases performance and durability.

GreenGuard®
The 3 mm highly elastic special rubber on a 67 EPI carcass is used in the classic Marathon, Energizer models and many other high-quality Touring tyres. One third is made from recycled latex products.

TwinSkin
Twin describes an additional rubber coating on the sidewall that protects from cuts and allows a uniform colouring.

E-Bike Ready 25
Recommended for pedelecs with pedal support up to 25 km/h. The law does not prescribe special tyres here, but with pedelecs the loads and average speeds are usually higher than with normal bikes.
