The Schwalbe Marathon is the forefather of all high-quality touring tyres and the undisputed original. For a safe ride, the puncture protection belt has been optimized using GreenGuard®. This 3 mm-thick layer of highly elastic natural rubber is made from one third recycled material. The sidewall of the Schwalbe Marathon wired tyre is specially designed to withstand the stresses of lower air pressure and effectively prevents ugly aging cracks (” anti-aging” ). In addition, the Endurance rubber compound noticeably increases performance and durability.

GreenGuard®
Same operating principle as used by the SmartGuard but only approx. 3 mm thick. One third of the highly elastic natural rubber is obtained from recycled latex products. Schwalbe has developed its own process technology for this purpose: In the Schwalbe factories, old products made of natural rubber (such as gloves, tubes, etc.) are shredded and returned to production as the basic material via several process steps.

TwinSkin
Twin describes an additional rubber coating on the sidewall that protects from cuts and allows a uniform colouring.

E-Bike Ready 25
Recommended for pedelecs with pedal support up to 25 km/h. The law does not prescribe special tyres here, but with pedelecs the loads and average speeds are usually higher than with normal bikes.
