The Oil of Rohloff Chain Lubricant – Acts like grease
The special chain lubricant was specially developed by Rohloff in cooperation with a renowned German lubricant manufacturer to meet the tough demands on the bicycle chain and the Rohloff Lubmatic automatic chain lubrication system.
The base is a synthetic oil that cares for your chain with special additives. This delivers high pressure stability, much better creep and sliding properties and becomes water-repellent, giving your chain better protection against rust.

The Rohloff special chain lubricant is classified as readily biodegradable according to the OECD 301F test method. This method is a test that determines the percentage of the test substance that is completely broken down in a period of 28 days. In order to be rated easily biodegradable, 50% of the Rohloff special chain lubricant must have degraded within the first 10 days of the testing period, and at least 60% in the 4 weeks of the testing period.
