Newmen Evolution SL E.G.35 Fade Boost Disc 6-bolt 27.5″ Wheelset

The Evolution SL E.G. 27.5″ wheelset by NEWMEN is compatible with enduro and downhill E-MTBs and allows for particularly wide tyres and low air pressure thanks to the 35 mm jaw width. The combination of a FADE Boost hub, straight pull spokes and a rim with a reinforced rim wall make it particularly durable, which is why the stronger forces from e-bikes are not a problem.

The weak point of aluminium or carbon rims, the nipple holes in the rim, is reinforced with an MG washer at NEWMEN. This is the solution with the least amount of material used, so that there is practically no effect on weight. The MG-Washer is concave on both sides. This means that it can be installed in both directions, and the contact surface on the rim side moves away from the nipple hole of the rim, thus providing additional relief. Another advantage is the even friction between nipple and washer, which prevents the nipple from ” eating” .

Rounded Rim Profile:
The rounded rim profile has flared rim flanges with optimised flange height and wall thickness. The wall thickness on the rim flange has been increased, in the side area reduced.
The flared rim flanges shorten the distance between left and right rim flange, which saves material and weight. The tyre can also take on a rounder shape, improving comfort and cornering grip.
