Proven, successful and popular: the Minion DHF folding tyre by Maxxis
Probably the most driven and in recent years most successful downhill tyre in the world. Proven elements such as bevelled lugs for low rolling resistance and smooth running were combined with longitudinally slotted lugs for better grip on the edges. This gives it excellent directional stability and precise cornering behaviour.
Note from the manufacturer:
Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used.
Guidelines for replacing E-bike components:Before you replace components on your e-bike, please read through the guidelines for component replacement for CE-marked e-bikes/pedelecs with pedal assistance.

For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.
Wide Trail (WT)
This design optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today’s modern wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and become square on wider rims, resulting in a less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension of 30 – 40 mm.
