Want an all-round racing tyre that rolls very well, is very light, but also offers grip in almost all situations? The Aspen is Maxxis’ latest answer to this requirement profile. In the centre of the tread, narrow angled siped lugs alternate with small bevelled block lugs. They redefine the ideal combination of high traction and easy rolling. Seen in the direction of travel, the side studs run in groups of two from the outside to the inside. This special arrangement provides significantly more grip in corners. The 29″ TR version for trouble-free use with sealant.

Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used.

For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various Maxxis MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other ” tubeless ready” tyres. The bead of the Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful for all rims with standard dimensions even during the first inflation and with little liquid.
