Focus Raven 8.7 Carbon 29″ Mountain Bike

The Raven 8.7 mountain bike by FOCUS is an acceleration-strong carbon hardtail for cross-country use, which has been equipped with a 100 mm suspension fork by Fox and Shimano XT 1×12-speed groupset. It features Race geometry, high stiffness values and low weight. The special shock-absorbing construction of the frame provides a higher level of comfort.

C.I.A. stands for Comfort Improving Areas on endurance bikes for long-distance use. Flat and elliptical tube cross-sections as well as concave braced seat and chainstays are specifically used so that impacts are optimally absorbed even on uneven ground. S.S.P.S.
The Stable Stiffness per Size (S.S.P.S.) process means that each frame size receives a specially-tuned carbon lay-up and is individually constructed. This is the only way to ensure an optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio and equal riding characteristics for each size.

R.A.T.
FOCUS has developed its own patented Rapid Axle Technology (R.A.T.) for Mountain bikes, Road bikes and Cyclocross bikes. When developing the R.A.T. thru-axle, the focus was clearly on quick and easy operation when changing the wheel. As a result of the development, Rapid Axle Technology combines the stability and rigidity of a thru-axle with the advantages of quick releases.
