DT Swiss ERC 1400 DICUT 35 Carbon Center Lock Disc 27.5″ Wheelset – Lightweight suspension for long rides
The ERC 1400 DICUT 35 wheelset from DT Swiss is suitable for ambitious riders on 27.5″ endurance road bikes. The streamlined 35 mm deep carbon rims have 22 mm jaw width and are particularly advantageous in crosswinds. The greatest aerodynamic effect is achieved with 28 mm wide tyres. However, you can easily use the wide range from 25 to 64 mm tyre width. This means that you are prepared for any ground conditions with the ERC 1400 DICUT. The aero-optimised 240 DICUT hub features a smooth 36-tooth sprocket freehub and durable stainless steel bearings. The stainless steel aero straight pull spokes are particularly durable and, together with the Pro-Lock nipples, result in stiff wheels that move you forward quickly.

SINC
Robust steel bearing rings are combined with ceramic balls. This means that the rolling resistance is low. The rolling resistance is further reduced by the seal on the outside and a protective ring on the inside. Furthermore, the combination of materials prevents corrosion between the ring and balls. This increases the durability of the ball bearings.

Ratchet EXP
A ratchet and a threaded ring are integrated into the hub. This reduces the number of components required, resulting in less wear and tear and a lower weight. In addition, the heavy-duty and reliable ratchet system can be easily and quickly maintained. The no-tool concept plays a decisive role, as it allows the freehub to be replaced without any tools. The freehub has two ratchets which engage simultaneously. This means that the contact surface is large and the point load is kept small, which relieves the material and allows the freehub to work particularly reliably and precisely.

Pro Lock
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-trued several times without any problems, but the adhesive strength decreases slightly. The connection between the spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.
