The Cannondale Topstone Carbon 2 L 28″ is a gravel bike with innovative Kingpin suspension, Shimano GRX 2×11-speed drivetrain and SmartSense equipment with light. The geometry, which has been adjusted separately for each frame size, is designed for stability on challenging surfaces and dynamic steering behaviour. With Kingpin, you benefit from up to 30 mm of rear travel on bumpy trails, without the need for heavy, high-maintenance shocks. The SmartSense lighting system with front and rear lights is powered by a single battery on the down tube and interacts with the wheel sensor. A SmartSense radar unit (not included) can also be integrated. Equipped with numerous mounts for luggage and accessories (even on the fork) as well as a high degree of tyre clearance, the Topstone will make you want to veer off the beaten track and set off on an adventure.

SmartSense is a connected system that increases your visibility and thus your safety. In the L version, the central components are a wheel sensor and front and rear lights. A radar unit for improved environmental awareness can be retrofitted and easily integrated into the system. The wheel sensor contains a replaceable battery, while the lights are powered by a single battery. This is attached to the down tube and can be removed for charging. The sensor can detect when you start moving or when you brake, and provides you with data on speed and distance travelled. The lights react to the wheel sensor (automatic on/off, brake light) and to the ambient brightness (automatic switch-on in darkness) and thus ensure optimum visibility in all light conditions. There is a button on the front light for switching between four different modes. Settings for the entire system can be found in the Cannondale App. You can also view the battery’s status in the app or press the battery button, where the battery displays the charge level in 25-% increments by means of the number of illuminated green LEDs. When you’re not riding, you can also use the battery as a power bank thanks to the USB port.

Kingpin
Kingpin is a minimalist suspension system without shocks, based on a pivot point between the saddle rail and seat tube and flexible areas on the top tube, seat tube and chainstays. It allows you up to 30 mm of suspension travel and thus significantly increases comfort on gravel paths.

SAVE
SAVE components have well thought-out flex areas. These are compliant in the exact direction in which they absorb vibrations and thus increase comfort and efficiency for you. Otherwise, they are characterised by high rigidity. These areas can be recognised by their flat tube shapes. Several SAVE areas work together optimally.
