28 15 6-Bolt Disc Hub Dynamo

The first hub dynamo for a 15 mm thru-axle: the Son 28 15 by SON
Hub dynamo or thru-axle? Until now a demanding biker had to do without one of them. The thru-axle stiffens the suspension fork and allows a more precise positioning of the hub, which is particularly useful for disc brakes. More and more mountain bikers want to use the advantages of a hub dynamo light system. No wonder that SON was asked more and more often for a thru-axle hub dynamo. In order to bring both under one roof, SON has not only changed the axle construction, but also essential parts of the generator. The result: A hub dynamo that looks, is equally robust and has the same electrical values as the Son 28 Disc, but with a large ” hole” . Also the weight could be kept surprisingly low with 460 g.
